On Facebook I often share my personal reflections. I publish some of them on this page. ***
The death of Richard Benson, my music teacher in 1991
Richard Benson died on May 10, 2022, a guitarist and television personality and Internet very famous, also for his extravagance. I met Richard Benson in person, many years ago, in 1991, when I was only 17 years old. Many years ago it was not so strange, it was not a laughing stock to which people threw objects at concerts in the clubs of Rome, as can be seen in several videos on YouTube.
Thirty years ago he was, instead, a good rock and heavy metal guitarist. Born in Woking, near London, England, on March 10, 1955, during his childhood he lived in Milan, later moving to Rome, where over the years he began a career as a musician. In the early nineties, in a local Roman TV, TVA 40, he hosted the program Ottava Nota, in which he presented the best records of the best rock, metal, fusion, jazz-rock, thrash guitarists.
Me, Roberto Di Molfetta, student and friend of Richard Benson
In 1991/1992 I was one of the best guitarists, as a technical level, among the many music students of Richard Benson, as well as his friend, and often he greeted me on live television during his program Ottava Nota saying "I greet the excellent guitarists Roberto Di Molfetta … " and then continuing with the names of his good students like me. Almost every day I went to his house to play the electric guitar, and very often we spent hours improvising rock and metal solos with our guitars.
We had a lot of fun playing together, thanks to him I had become a virtuoso of good level, one who could play the solos of Metallica, Pink Floyd, Santana, Eric Clapton, guitarist Slash of Guns'n'Roses and many other guitarists much more technical metal, rock, fusion that you surely do not know, such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Yngwie J. Malmsteen and many others.

I still remember that the first time I went to him, he treated me very badly, it seemed that the same on the cock, on the skin. He said that I didn't know how to play, that the technique with which I used the pick on the guitar strings sucked, it was horrendous. I remember that I felt very bad, because I considered myself a good guitarist, having only played for two years without any music lessons in my life, and already the first months I did the solos of Slash by Guns'n'Roses quite well. After a few days, he made me come back and told me that at first he did not want to take me as a student, precisely because according to him I did not have enough talent. Over time I became his favorite pupil and friend. He was a bit arrogant and presumptuous, with everyone, like the famous art critic Vittorio Sgarbi for example, like a primadonna of opera, but at the same time he was very nice and joking in person, especially with me who was now his friend. With Richard we spent all day playing together, joking together, listening to the new records of the best guitarists of the time, which he bought by the hundreds every month, watching instructional videos of the rock and metal virtuosos of the time on the guitar, such as Ritchie Kotzen, Paul Gilbert, Vinnie Moore, Marty Friedman, Michael Angelo, Chris Impellitteri, and many others. He charged me 20 thousand lire per lesson, I went once a week like all his students. Since he had a student per hour all day, all week, every month he pocketed a sufficient sum at the beginning of the nineties to feel very good (I did a quick calculation with the PC calculator, he caught about 3 million and 800,000 lire, 4 million lire a month). Over time I had become such a friend, that I was always with him. I went early in the afternoon, after being at school in the morning, and I saw all his lessons with the students, who were dozens, almost all kids like me. Then in the evening we would play together, and in the evening we would go out to eat something. He lived behind Piazza Venezia, in the center of Rome. We went to have dinner in bars, pubs, pizzerias, restaurants, where it happened.Often one of his girlfriends came, among the many women I saw at his house. A blonde much shorter than him. He certainly liked women, I don't know if he was bisexual, like David Bowie, but he certainly had a lot of girls. He dressed like a gay, but in reality with me and with all the other guys present he never tried, nor did he ever make gestures or say things as homosexuals, not even a move. In my opinion he had that look just for show, the same thing that I think Damiano, the singer of Maneskin, who I don't think is really homosexual, but he wears makeup, dresses, does women's things. All scene, as in the theater.
Anecdotes about Richard Benson
I remember a lot of anecdotes from the time I was dating Richard.
The film with Carlo Verdone
Richard made a film with the famous actor and director Carlo Verdone, in which he conducted a fantasy television broadcast, with the fictitious name of Hydrogen Jukebox, which resumed his real transmission Ottava Nota. In the fake broadcast of the film invited Carlo Verdone as an expert on guitarist Jimi Hendrix. Then after the interview with Verdone, who in the film was very excited and got stuck in talking (I seem to remember, by heart), Richard performed a heavy metal solo with the sound of the distorted guitar, as he played, often and really, at his home. In the film, a technician asked Carlo Verdone, who was leaving the studio: "But what did you take, oh?". And Carlo Verdone: "I who know 'taken? But who took that!", pointing to Richard Benson, as he threw himself into the ground playing, with all 'I'm messing at full volume of electric metal guitar, with the distortion in throttle. As in many films by Carlo Verdone, a very funny scene… Fun! At the time I went with Richard to the cinema, to the release of the film, to see him for the first time, together with his girlfriend.
The years of Richard Benson's humiliation in front of all of Rome, all of Italy
I have a lot of memories of that time, in 1991, when Richard Benson and I were friends. After so many years, seeing him reduced, in front of thousands of people, in the premises of Rome, to take in the face all evening vegetables, fruit, used toilet brushes, dirty toilet paper, detergents, chickens, eggs, bags of manure and urine, acid, I repeat, in the face for hours, for years, by thousands of guys who were there just to have fun like this, like a laughing stock, a subject to be mocked, a village fool with whom to have a lot of laughter, to the public pillory, in front of all the people of Italy, who after years still comment amused on the YouTube videos of the shit envelopes that he pulled in his face … well, it made me so much, so much sadness.
It's a real crap how they treated it. First of all for him, of course, who suffered without fully realizing, I am sure, of what they did to him, to be the laughing stock of all; for his wife, who was on stage with him, but I think without even understanding the absolute shame, the humiliation without any dignity of those evenings on stage with her husband; but also for me, who was his friend and pupil, and for all the friends, relatives, students, for all the Romans, the Italians, who esteemed him and followed him on television, who read his reviews in the national magazine Chitarre, for those who knew him, esteemed, loved him, for his ex-girls, for many people throughout Rome and throughout Italy, in short. It is also a shame for the same guys who did those things to him, indeed, for the whole of Italy: how can you treat a man in front of everyone, without him even having any particular fault?
For me Richard Benson in the years when he was humiliated in the Roman premises, targeted by thousands of objects all evening, had serious health problems, mental problems, perhaps not officially diagnosed by a specialist doctor, such as a psychologist or a psychiatrist.
He was no longer in himself, otherwise he would not have accepted to be treated like this for hours, for years.
If he had been in full mental health, at the first egg in his face, during the first concert, he would have closed the evening by leaving, without returning. A few years ago he went on TV to Barbara D'Urso on Canale 5, aged thirty years, without teeth, to ask for help because poor and sick, to ask for money not to die to his fans, the same guys who for years enjoyed pulling shit in his face in the clubs, who boast amused in the YouTube comments to his videos of having done these things to him in those evenings. Knowing that he is dead now makes me so sad, it gives me so much nostalgia. I remember that period as a beautiful moment in my life, without real suffering, my youth spent between music, guitars, guys playing, having fun, going out in the evening every night in the center of Rome. I was happy, and I didn't know it. As soon as I read "Richard Benson is dead," I cried. They look like memories of 2 thousand years ago, the moments of that period. Today people no longer have fun, they are always from morning to night, with their children, with their partner, with their parents, with their colleagues, they feel bad if polar bears no longer have ice, they worry if a big iceberg is detached from the Arctic just because a TG report links the fact to climate change, he spends his life arguing over masks, about the green pass, he is furious like a beast if one approaches, by mistake, less than one and a half meters, not respecting the safety distance on Covid. Young people spend hours on their mobile phones liking people they don't know in person, they'll never meet in life. You see couples of boys, boyfriends, sitting at dinner, scrolling the Instagram feed on the thousand-euro iPhone, liking Fedez or Belen Rodriguez's sister, instead of spending the evening looking into each other's eyes, shaking hands, smiling, talking and joking like the lovers of twenty years ago. They are engaged, they go out to dinner, and they are on their mobile phone to see the posts of the Island of the Famous on the official profile of Mediaset. We are in a bad position today, trust us. At 17 I had a great time, without porn sites, pornstars, fake tits, redone lips, tattoos on my face, without spending hours putting likes on Instagram on Chiara Ferragni's selfies together with Fedez. I was a musician, who enjoyed playing the guitar, listening to music, together with young people, crazy about Richard Benson, spending the days after school having fun with friends, playing, improving as a guitarist, enjoying the days of my youth. You were better off when you were worse. Trust. ***

People's wickedness towards poor Richard Benson
People mourn Richard Benson, who died on May 10. But he mourns him after years of becoming famous, to be treated like a laughing stock at his concerts. Indeed subjected to a filthy pillory, shameful, unworthy of a country like Italy that considers itself civilized. There are even videos on YouTube, which out of respect for poor Benson and for the crap they do I do not want to include in this Web page, which show Richard Benson giving concerts in the clubs of Rome, in front of thousands of people, where he was mocked, insulted, and was hit for hours by anything, like shit envelopes, dirty toilet brushes, chickens, eggs, toilet paper, urine, even once they threw acid in his face and that poor guy had even complained because they burned his eyes … But do you realize that this happened in Italy, in Rome, the capital seat of the pontiff, of the government, of the parliament, in a state that considers itself advanced, civil, only a few years ago, for dozens of evenings, in front of millions of Italians who on YouTube enjoyed seeing Benson treated like a human cabinet for hours? The owners of the Roman premises knew very well that Richard Benson would be treated like this. They were only interested in the place filling with paying people, to make tens of thousands of euros in revenue. Young Romans, who maybe today have married, work in companies, make videos while playing with their children, share posts against violence against women, cry for abandoned animals, brought bags of human feces, bags of urine, acid, I do not know if caustic soda, muriatic acid or other, the chickens bought at the supermarket, to pull them in the face of Richard Benson who was there to play and sing the guitar for them, or so the poor man believed. Think, not even the pedophile rapists and murderers of children, are allowed to do what people have done to Richard Benson for years in the premises of Rome. If people try to lynch a murderous pedophile in the street, out of anger in discovering that he raped and killed an innocent child, carabinieri or policemen intervene, even risk their physical safety to save that murderer of children. The State requires the Carabinieri and the State Police to intervene and save the murderers of children from the lynching of angry passers-by, ensuring them to justice, and then allowing a fair trial and possibly condemning them to prison, even life imprisonment, if sentenced by the magistrates in charge of the judgment. Instead the poor Richard Benson, a musician and music expert, just because he is no longer able to look after himself, has been for years the object of ridicule, of derision, he has suffered for several hours, for many evenings a year, the throwing of objects like shit bags, even acid in the face, for the sadistic amusement of thousands of people, without having committed any serious crime; not only as I said before, he had not committed the rape and murder of 5-year-old children, but not even a simple theft of a wallet, he had not even stolen an apple from the supermarket. I prefer to remember him not for his evenings in which he was humiliated by thousands of guys in the ways I described, but as in the beautiful photo you see above, as a good guitarist, an expert in rock, blues, fusion, metal, thrash, jazz-rock music, who wrote reviews of new records on Chitarre, the most important Italian magazine on the instrument we played. In the initial image he is with a young Vittorio Sgarbi, when as an intelligent person and musician, he attracted to himself the esteem and respect of all people of a certain intellectual depth.
Richard Benson guitarist: the video
To introduce you to the Richard Benson guitarist and musician, I insert a YouTube video, with his song "C'è Ancora Un Colore Nella Notte", from his album "Madre Tortura". Richard here plays a blues rock solo, with the guitar initially with a clean sound, without distortion (clean tone, American guitarists call it), but which then moves on to the use of distorted sound; a good solo, with several scales and difficult passages, even if not all performed perfectly. In short, a good guitarist and musician, with a certain technique, who wrote beautiful songs. He also deserved to be known for his music, and not only for his extravagance, and certainly not for the shameful public pillory in Roman clubs, where any object was thrown at him.

The most beautiful things in life do not need words
We use many words, we listen to many of them every day, to explain ourselves, to communicate our thoughts, our emotions. Yet think about it, the most beautiful things in life do not need words: being in the Sun on a beautiful May day at the park of Villa Borghese in Rome, walking with the person you love hand in hand through the streets of the center, hugging your mother on her birthday, caressing your child in his cradle, see your military brother back at home after a year of mission in war, a father looking at his daughter dressed as a bride on the wedding day, two lovers kissing, stroking a labrador puppy, savoring good Italian food in the evening at the restaurant, drinking a good glass of red wine, a night of sex, admire up close an artistic masterpiece by Raffaello Sanzio or Leonardo da Vinci, listen to a composition by Ennio Morricone, swim in the sea, look at the sky with friends on the night of San Lorenzo… the most beautiful things in life do not need rivers of words to be lived! Why do we spend time talking, chatting, even complaining, arguing, arguing with polemics about politics, football, people and we don't think about enjoying the good times of life? I close with a quote from an Oscar-winning film: "Don't you hate all this? The silences that make you uncomfortable… Why do we feel the need to chat about whores to feel more comfortable? […] It's only then that you know you've found someone really special: when you can shut that fucking mouth for a moment and share the silence in peace." Mia Wallace (Uma Thurman) talking to Vincent Vega (John Travolta). From the film "Pulp Fiction", by Quentin Tarantino (1994) ***
Misanthropy: we judge all humanity badly, because of our past sufferings
One mistake we all make is to misjudge all human beings, because there are so many bad people in the world. This is a mistake, derived from our psychic characteristics as human beings. When we are hurt by other people, in a profound way, we are led to be biased, to see others as similar to those who have hurt us. For example, if a woman is raped as a child, she will always remain conditioned by the trauma of rape, remaining wary of men. He will never again see them in a neutral way, but as possible rapists, even unconsciously, unwittingly. It is in human nature, and it comes from the most primitive instincts present in our brain. After all, we are descendants of monkeys, a part of our brain has the same instincts as primates. Animals also behave like this. Watching so many videos of abused dogs, you can see the animals that have suffered torture, that when they are cared for by animal rights activists in a shelter, they do not initially trust the caresses, to eat their food. They are wounded in the soul, they see men as enemies, ready to hurt them. It happens to human beings, for example, by fighting in war. Many films show the psychic discomfort of Vietnam veterans. For example in Taxi Driver, with Robert De Niro. Or in Rambo, with Sylvester Stallone. In the latter film, Rambo is immobilized and the sheriffs of the county want to shave him by force. He seems to relive the shock of torture with the sword, when he was a prisoner in Vietnam. And beating the sheriff's men, he escapes and becomes a fugitive. It is called post-traumatic stress syndrome. Search the Net, it's an interesting topic. When we suffer, we tend to see everyone else as those people who have hurt us. In these days I have understood that this is a mistake, which conditions us too much. There are so many mediocre, arrogant, bad people, so many criminals around. But there are also good people, of heart, good people, honest, hard-working people, who would never treat us so badly. The mistake is to consider the whole society composed of ugly people, because others have hurt us. Instead we must try as much as possible to avoid toxic, negative, bad, drinking people, and try to hang out with beautiful people, to spend time with them, to make them friends. Humanity, men, are capable of anything. History proves it: we have the saints, like St. Francis, the heroes who give their lives like the others, like Salvo D'Acquisto, but we also have the bloodthirsty dictators, like Hitler and Stalin. It is up to us not to make a bundle of all the grass. Open to the righteous, love beautiful people, reward the good; hinder evil, move away from the unjust, prevent the bad guys from making others suffer. So we have to reason. It is not true that all men are assholes, that women are all whores, etc. There are so many beautiful people in the world. Maybe they are a minority, a small percentage, but with a world of 7 billion people, they are always many. And you have to think about them, to trust others.

Envy, an ugly beast
One of the most widespread and least confessed negative feelings is envy. A proverb that my mother often quotes me is "if envy were fever, the whole world would have it". I was reading an article in a psychology study done on a group of elderly guests of a nursing home. Many of these elders revealed to interviewers that they envied other elders who received more visits from their children, grandchildren, and other relatives. The Catholic religion puts envy among the seven deadly sins. St. Augustine considers it the worst beast. In the Bible, Cain kills his brother out of envy of being favored by God. In the Gospels, Pontius Pilate knows that Jesus Christ was sent by him to be condemned, because he was envied by the Sanhedrin of the Jews. Among the thousand ideas that have come to me in the last period, I also have that of writing a book on this feeling. The title I thought was: "Envy. An unspeakable feeling" ***
Judging people only on the basis of social position: a common mistake
Often people rate people based on social position. If one is a great entrepreneur, a university professor, a famous surgeon, a great actor, he has so much esteem, without ever having met him. It evaluates it according to the social level reached. Instead he despises like filthy beasts the prisoners, people in prison for crimes such as murder. But an intelligent person, who has known people enough, knows that sometimes you can kill a man in a moment of anger, maybe a husband who punches his wife's lover when he discovers them, and that falls to the ground, hitting his head and dies. So let's say that guy who's in jail was just a betrayed husband who gave a to the one his wife cheated on him with. Circumstances led him to jail for intentional homicide. But he only punched the man his wife cheated on him with. But people that people esteem, as politicians even important, have never ended up in jail, are rich, famous r esteemed, and maybe they are colluding with the mafia bosses throughout their career, without naming names . That politician so esteemed, loved, is perhaps a carrion, a despicable man, an unscrupulous being, but his social position makes him consider an excellence, when perhaps he does the interests of the Sicilian mafia to the government of the country. So that poor man who angry with his wife's lover becomes a despicable being for a punch, while these illustrious Italians have spent their lives favoring the mafias that dissolve children in acid. Listen to me: in jail there are many bad and cruel criminal people, but many criminals who will never go to jail you find them in Parliament, in government, you have voted for them for years, you even love them. This is respectability: to think that criminals are the scum of society, while illustrious people are great men to be appreciated. I evaluate case by case, person by person. Reasoning based on clichés is from mediocre people, who is truly intelligent a person must know him, understand him, evaluate him for what he is. Look at the Italians: for years they appreciated Putin; Di Maio, Salvini shook his hand, even Letta of the Democratic Party, Berlusconi treated him like a fraternal friend. He was the president of Russia, a personality. Now we all know what a man he is: one who sleeps peacefully at night while children in Ukraine jump into the air for his missiles. Do not trust respectability, the opinions of others, reason with your head. Do not trust the appearance, the image of people on TV, in newspapers, on social networks on the Net. Often people are wolves disguised as lambs. ***
The Wolves will always tear the Lambs apart, they will never change
All of us would like to live in a world in peace, with men who love each other as brothers. But since people are not all the same, this is not possible, and will never be possible. Millions of people are born evil, selfish, abusive, violent, overbearing, bad, even some are sadistic, they enjoy the suffering of others. The world is then led everywhere by powerful people who want to have the world under their feet, they are greedy, and History proves it. Since ancient times, war has been waged against neighboring peoples to build empires. The ancient Romans, the Persians, the Mongols, Hitler, Mussolini, Putin, European colonialism in Africa, the English colonialism in India, the Japanese colonialism in the Pacific, it is enough to study History to understand that it is human nature to use violence mercilessly, to have more and more. Without bothering presidents, kings and emperors, every day we read in the newspaper about horrendous facts, such as that young man, Benno, who killed his parents to pocket the inheritance, or that boy who burned his brother alive to get the money of his life insurance. And the mafias? Camorra, Cosa Nostra, Sacra Corona Unita, 'Ndrangheta, who kill you because you don't pay the lace? And without caring about the murderers, just look at how many thieves, scammers, criminals every day use violence to make money. A completely peaceful world is impossible. There are too many violent, evil, because they were born this way at the DNA level, it is in their genetic code, their brain is structured like this, their thoughts push them to evil because they were born like this. Like a lion in the savannah: if he sees a gazelle if he tears it apart immediately, it is his brain that tells him to do it, he was born like this. There are those who are lamb, like my mother, and those who are wolves, like Putin. And wolves have always torn lambs apart, it is in their nature. We cannot think that with the beautiful speeches, with the words, with the poetry, with the culture, the education, the discourses on human rights, the Art, with the progress commercials of the government, we will make the wolves of the lambs. If the Jews had spoken in person before Hitler, saying beautiful words of peace, asking for mercy on their knees before him, crying and embracing their small children, the Führer always sent them to the gas chambers, he did not give a damn to the chief dictator of Nazi Germany of what the Jews said to save themselves. Wolves will always be wolves, and lambs will always be lambs. Those as soon as they can tear us apart. Simply, they are made like this.
It is not God who created man, it is men who created religions
I do not deny that there is a God, but I believe that the Christian God who is Supreme Love, who loves us like the Christ of the Gospels who is crucified for us, is not there. A world too full of suffering, of diseases of all kinds, in which so many are cruel and unscrupulous, wars and much more, how can a being who loves us so much abandon children suffering from cancer to pain, let men do so many atrocities as in Ukraine now or the extermination of Jews in Nazi concentration camps during the Second World War. Theologians and clergy claim that God has left us free will. Man decides to do good or evil, it depends on his choice. According to them, God leaves freedom to men. So the children in hospitals, who die of a malignant tumor? Where is the free will of a 5-year-old boy who dies suffering in the hospital, through no fault of his own? And his parents, who choose wrongly did they do to see him die? What harm did that family destroyed by pain do? Why does God sometimes perform miracles, according to the Church, and other times, millions of times, he lets sick children die, without intervening? If a God created us, he is not interested in us. No one protects us from another world. It's just us fighting life. If I were God, Almighty and who loves us immensely, I would do everything to stop the war in Ukraine, I would not let people die in an atrocious way, I would not make mothers live with their children killed, I would not allow children to remain orphans forever. I am sorry for the people who suffer, who am not a saint. A Supreme Love God would have mercy on us. Studying history, I think that all peoples invent a religion to find a consolation at death, to have hope that by praying someone will help them, to alleviate the pain in life, to hope for eternal life in the other, which compensates for the fear of dying that we all have. Mithras, Krisna, Christ, Allah, Jupiter, all creations of humanity. I think it is not God who created man, but it is man who created the gods. ***

Vaccine damage my mother and I suffered

I too have probably suffered damage from Covid vaccine, albeit mild. I did three doses, the first two Pzifers, the third dose was the Moderna, in early January 2022.
After a month, I started to feel chills all day. Initially I thought it was the winter cold. But now that we are in late April, I still have chills all day, it's much hotter than in February. I think it was the third dose. Obviously I can do nothing, the rubber wall of the State and doctors to not recognize anything of the risks of vaccines makes any road, medical and legal, very difficult.
My mother also probably suffered vaccine damage. She took the second dose of Pfizer in April 2021, and after four months she began to suffer from severe dysphagia. While eating he feels suffocated, almost every day. He can't eat solid foods at all: bread, pasta, pizza, biscuits, meat, vegetables, fruit… nothing eats anything anymore. It goes on with smoothies, puddings, broths, ice cream… this stuff here.
Thanks to our politicians, the leaders of Freemasonry, doctors, journalists, pharmaceutical companies and their shareholders, for giving us safe vaccines and excellent information about how perfect scientific tools are for our health and well-being. Thank you, I love you and I respect you so much, you are people with a big heart.
After my personal thanks to those who have been so concerned about our health, I want to offer you two videos on vaccine damage. They are very interesting, I recommend you look at them. The first is a video in which an Italian mother, Antonella, recounts the ordeal she has been going through since Edi, her son, was vaccinated. Real and very touching testimony, of a serious adverse reaction to the vaccine of a child born healthy, and the day after vaccination, became autistic. The second video is an excerpt from the television program Fuori dal Coro, on Rete 4, in which the presenter Mario Giordano talks about the story of Giulia, a 51-year-old woman, who after a dose of Covid-19 vaccine began to feel sick. After 8 months spent with hallucinatory pain, Giulia committed suicide, throwing herself from the balcony of her home. Freud's theories: the primitive instinct, without any morals, has the last word on our thoughts and actions
The Id, of which Sigmund Freud, the founding neurologist of modern psychoanalysis, speaks: the deepest, strongest and most primitive instinct of our brain.

The creation of man described in the Bible has been disproved by modern science
People still believe in ancient religions. Take the Bible, book one, Genesis.

The Gossip
Many people tend to spend their time more doing harm, for example talking about others, gossiping, than taking care of their own interests and doing good to their loved ones. Example: gossip women, especially elderly spinsters (unmarried) and widows, perhaps in small provincial towns, in Italian countries of 5 thousand, 10 thousand, 15 thousand inhabitants. I am obviously only talking about those who do this, those who are just like that, not about all women and old women. Maybe they spend hours talking badly about others, neighbors, friends, their acquaintances, but maybe you never read an article in a women's magazine on how to improve your health, something for example that my 83-year-old mother does when I buy her magazines like Oggi, Gente, Chi. In those magazines my mother always reads and comments on me, articles where journalists report interviews with medical specialists, on health issues such as the prevention of heart diseases, circulation, Alzheimer's, diabetes, osteoarthritis, on foods that prevent cancer and many other things. In short, instead of spending whole days making poisonous and malicious comments about the lives of others, they could think about how to improve their health, or ask their elderly friends for advice on how to help their children, their grandchildren, tell each other and comment on the TV programs they watched the night before. Instead nothing, always there to talk every day of the other villagers: that is a woman, that is powerless, that is crazy, the son of the notary I know that he is gay … think of an elderly woman gossip, maybe bad and malignant, and there are, when she is together with other women like her, what she can say in a day, a week, in a month, of the other villagers! I remember that in a city I inhabited, the mother of our landowner, an 80-year-old woman named Anna, said to me and my mother, pointing to our palace: "Here they cut and sew!" For a moment I was surprised by the sentence, but within a few seconds and especially after months living in that apartment building, I understood everything about the meaning of his words. As you may have guessed, our neighbors, and many were women over 60, some widows or spinsters (in Italian: unmarried), according to Mrs. Anna, spent time gossiping about neighbors, and about all those they knew and jumped into his mind. And they were so busy and good at it, that Mrs. Anna even made the joke above ("Here they cut and sew!"), she who had been their friend for 40 years, using a phrase that is an old popular saying. Think if one of their villagers gets involved in some mess, some scandal, some bad news story, perhaps with a sexual background, and ends up in the local newspapers (without disturbing the sensational case of the president of the Lazio Region, the journalist Piero Marrazzo, married with children, discovered with a video having sex with a transsexual while consuming drugs): guilty or innocent, the gossip of the country destroys him, annihilates him, for him it would be much better if they beat him three men only once, rather than having these harpies talking about him every day for a year. These are worse than the heavy artillery of the Italian army, you are finished if they attack you all together, other than poor old villagers !!! ***
